Kirkbride was noticed by casting directors for the British soap opera Coronation Street when she acted in a Jack Rosenthal play for Granada Television called Another Sunday and Sweet F.A. in 1972.
Feast acted in numerous television dramas throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, including the BAFTA winning ITV play Another Sunday and Sweet FA, written by Jack Rosenthal and Colin Welland.
More characteristically, he was cast in Jack Rosenthal's one-man show Bar Mitzvah Boy (BBC, 1976); played one of Arthur Daley's crooked cronies in Minder (1982), and has had roles in Bergerac (1987); Howards' Way (1985); You Rang, M'Lord? (1990) and Jeeves and Wooster (1991).
In 1982 she played Aunt Fenny in The Jewel in the Crown and 1986 in a Jack Rosenthal British television Christmas play Day To Remember.

Between 1974 and 1981, Littler starred in four productions for the BBC's Play for Today anthology series, the best remembered being the Jack Rosenthal adaptation of the memoirs of pools winner Viv Nicholson, Spend, Spend, Spend (1977).
