Fondly

The album’s acclaim earned Fondly a recording contract with local label Scratchie Records which was founded by James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky (ex-The Smashing Pumpkins) and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne, Ivy).

It was the band's first ever release and remains the only single issued by the band with co-writing credits to both Billy Corgan and James Iha.


Beyond the Calm of the Corridor

Producer Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and Ivy fame, Co-Producer James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins fame), contributed his guitar works on "Killing Me".

Before the release of the album, an EP of remixes was released on iTunes featuring remixes by James Iha, Brookville, Roger O'Donnell, Tahiti 80 and more.

Vanessa and the O's

Vanessa and the O's formed in 2003/2004 when Parisian Vanessa Contenay-Quinones (Allez Pop) got together with Swedish musical collaborators Andreas Mattsson (Popsicle) and Niclas Frisk (Atomic Swing) later joining up with James Iha (former guitarist and co-founding member of The Smashing Pumpkins) in New York.

Notable past and current residents include Nelson Algren, who lived on the third floor at 1958 W. Evergreen Ave between 1959–1975; Liz Phair, who penned her first album Exile in Guyville in and about Wicker Park; James Iha, former guitarist of the band Smashing Pumpkins; professional wrestler Colt Cabana; and singer/guitarist Matt Skiba of The Alkaline Trio.
