Linton, Kent

Built in 1730 by Robert Mann, it was later home to Sir Horatio Mann, the fourth and fifth Earls Cornwallis and Fiennes Cornwallis, 1st Baron Cornwallis.

Mann baronets

Their son James Cornwallis assumed by Royal licence the surname of Mann in lieu of Cornwallis in 1814.


Winnifred Sprague Mason Huck

She was an unsuccessful candidate for renomination to the 68th Congress in 1922, and an unsuccessful candidate for nomination for a special election (February 27, 1923) to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Representative James Mann.
