1994 Japan Series

The 1994 Japan Series was the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) championship series for the 1994 season.

Alex Cabrera

On October 26, 2004, pitcher Takashi Ishii went six strong innings and Cabrera hit a two-run towering homer as the Seibu Lions defeated the Chunichi Dragons 7–2 in Game 7 of the Japan Series to win their first championship since 1992.

Best Nine Award

Until 2004, the winning players of the award were announced two days after the final game of the Japan Series; from 2005 onwards, the winners have been announced at the Professional Baseball Convention, the NPB's annual awards ceremony.
