unusual facts about Jerry Colonna

Alex Akerbladh

From the late 1930s to the early 1950s his work appeared primarily in Radio Fun, where he drew "Flanagan and Allen", "Bob Hope and Jerry Colonna", and "Arthur Askey and Anthea".

The Hep Cat

At the end of the cartoon the cat says: "Well, I can dream, can't I?" Both quotes were used often in Looney Tunes cartoons of this era (like for instance Plane Daffy, Red Hot Riding Hood,...) and are both catch phrases by Jerry Colonna.

The Incredible Jewel Robbery

CBS explained the show as follows: "If you watch the show you'll see a familiar face equipped with mustache and leer. Because of his contract terms (Groucho was still doing You Bet Your Life on NBC), his name can't be mentioned, but he is not Jerry Colonna."
