Oráculo manual y arte de prudencia (1647), translated as The Art of Worldly Wisdom (by Joseph Jacobs, 1892), The Oracle, a Manual of the Art of Discretion (by L.B. Walton), Practical Wisdom for Perilous Times (in selections by J. Leonard Kaye), or The Science of Success and the Art of Prudence, his most famous book, some 300 aphorisms with comments.
In the version recorded by Joseph Jacobs, Blunderbore lives in Penwith, where he kidnaps three lords and ladies, planning to eat the men and make the women his wives.
It was later reprinted, revised but only slightly, by Joseph Jacobs in his Celtic fairy tale compilation.

Nicaise de Keyser (26 August 1813 Zandvliet - 17 July 1887 Antwerp), was a Belgian painter who has his talent discovered by the painter Joseph Jacobs who got him a place in the Antwerp art academy.
