His satiric Western drama The Great American Desert was the first play produced by Robert Nichols, directed by Lawrence Kornfeld, who had been with the Living Theatre, at the Judson Poets' Theatre.

Judson Health Center

Judson Health Center, founded in 1921, was an early New York City Community Health Center inspired by the Rev. Alonzo Ray Petty of the baptist Judson Memorial Church located at 55 Washington Square South.


Edward Judson

Thereafter to the time of his death he occupied the pulpit of a New York City church, first known as the Berean Church, later as the Memorial Baptist, and finally as the Judson Memorial, Dr. Judson having erected a large building on Washington Square to house the congregation, equipped with the facilities of an "institutional" church.

It was housed originally in Judson Memorial Church, which still hosts its Longest Night of the Year memorial event, and was located for a time in El Barrio.
