Erik Killmonger first appears in the Panther's Rage storyline from Jungle Action #6-8 (September 1973-January 1974), and was created by Don McGregor and Rich Buckler.
Tharn is also the name of a short-lived fictional Jungle Hero in the Marvel Comics universe, published with the name "Lo-Zar" by Atlas Comics in the 1950s, and reprinted with the name "Tharn" in Jungle Action comics by Marvel in the 1970s.
