The location of Hohn is south of the municipality of Königshügel or Lohe-Föhrden, but north of Friedrichsgraben or Sophienhamm or Elsdorf-Westermühlen, and west of Fockbek.
In the Battle for Königshügel (Danish Kongshøj) near Selk on 3 February 1864, Austrian forces commanded by General Gondrecourt pushed the Danes back to the Dannevirke.
The 'kings tombs' (Königshügel) consist of burials from different ages (late Bronze Age to pre-Roman Iron Age).
