In the meanwhile Khushi hears everything and runs away, but it is discovered that Khushi's would be father-in-law(Soumitra Chatterjee) has arranged the marriage ceremony of his son(Abhishek Chatterjee) with Rajnarayan Babus' daughter Khushi.
He becomes best friends with the female protagonist Khushi (Sanaya Irani), and causes some jealousy from the male protagonist, Arnav (Barun Sobti).
The very next year in 1965 he was named as the captain of Indian team for Asian Basketball Championship which was held in Kuala Lumpur, though India's position was 7th in the tournament, Khushi Ram stood as the highest scorer of the tournament and continued to maintain the same position as the 2nd highest scorer in 1967 ABC Championship in Seoul and highest scorer in 1969 ABC Championship in Bangkok.
He has acted in the Bollywood films Bada Din, Kareeb, Sangharsh, Mission Kashmir and Kasoor and in television serials A Mouthful of Sky, Bheja Fry, X-Zone, Samandar, Khushi, and Ajeeb Dastan.
