Abdulrahim Abdulhameed

At the 2010 Asian Games, Abdulrahim was a win away from securing at least a bronze medal, but with about a minute into his quarterfinal bout against Kim Seong-Ho of South Korea, he began to feel dazed and short of breath while experiencing unbearable pain in his abdomen.

Kim Seong-Eun

She started out doing middle- and long-distance track as a teenager and broke the South Korean indoor record for the 3000 metres at the 2005 Asian Indoor Games, taking the silver medal behind India's O. P. Jaisha.

Lucie Décosse

Décosse retired from judo after losing her bronze medal match against South Korea's Kim Seong-Yeon at the 2013 World Judo Championships in Rio de Janeiro.
