Since then, she has produced several critically and commercially successful films, including Petualangan Sherina (Sherina's Adventure; 2000), Ada Apa dengan Cinta? (What's Up with Love?; 2002), Gie (2005), and Laskar Pelangi (The Rainbow Troops; 2008).
Saputra is primarily known for his role in the break-out teen movie Ada Apa dengan Cinta?, as well as his role as the activist Soe Hok Gie in the film Gie.
Soe is also the subject of a 1997 book, written by Dr John Maxwell and entitled Soe Hok-Gie: Diary of a Young Indonesian Intellectual.
