She worked on many MGM films, including The Tell-Tale Heart (1941), Anchors Aweigh (1945), Singin' in the Rain (1952), and Kismet (1955).
It is based on the highly successful Hindi film of Bombay Talkies by Gyan Mukherjee entitled Kismet (1943) starring Ashok Kumar and Mumtaz Shanti.
He has appeared in a variety of shows, some of which include Kismet, The New Moon, Whorehouse Goes Public, How to Succeed, and Godspell.
In collaboration with Charles Lederer, Robert Wright, and George Forrest, Luther Davis wrote Kismet, Timbuktu!, and two different treatments of Vicki Baum’s novel Grand Hotel (At the Grand for the Los Angeles and San Francisco Light Opera Association and the Broadway musical version, Grand Hotel, The Musical).
In 2008, Schearer contributed to two other books: Netcat Power Tools and Kismet Hacking.
Kismet Delgado, the widow of Roger Delgado, who had played the Master during the Third Doctor's era, was one of the voices for the Spiders.
She can be heard on the cast recordings of The Phantom of the Opera, The Boy Friend, Bitter Sweet, Kismet, The Student Prince, Song of Norway, Oliver, The Killer Soprano, The Witches of Eastwick, Serious Cabaret, Mary Poppins amongst others.
Hayden is remembered today for the four rags he composed in collaboration with Scott Joplin, "Sunflower Slow Drag," "Something Doing," "Felicity Rag," "Kismet Rag" and also for another composition he wrote himself, "Pear Blossoms".
He was married to actress Catherine Schell from 1968–1977 and Kismet Delgado, the widow of actor Roger Delgado from 1979-2003.
