PeakStream was a parallel processing software company located in Redwood Shores, California founded by Matthew Papakipos and Asher Waldfogel in April 2005 and backed by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins.
The company has secured $14.1M in Series A financing led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Sands Capital Ventures, following a $1M angel investment.
In 1972 he joined Hewlett-Packard veteran Tom Perkins to found Kleiner Perkins, the venture capital firm now headquartered on Sand Hill Road.
Original board members included Dr. Ross and well-known figures as Dr. T. J. Rodgers of Cypress Semiconductor, John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins Venture Capital, and L. J. Sevin of Sevin Rosen Venture Capital, who also served as Board Chairman.
CEO Cyriac Roeding, founder and EVP of CBS’s mobile unit, created the concept while an entrepreneur-in-residence at Kleiner Perkins.
