On July 10, 2011, the Bulgaria, a river cruise ship owned by Kamskoye Rechnoye Parokhodstvo, sank in the Kuybyshev Reservoir near Syukeyevo, after being caught in a storm.
It origins near Gremyachy Klyuch and falls to the Kuybyshev Reservoir, Volga, forming the western border of Vasilyevo, Tatarstan.
The castle of Sviyazhsk dates back to 1551 is situated at the island in Sviyaga Cove of the Kuybyshev Reservoir.
Located near the village of Syukeyevo until the 1958, they were destroyed by an eruption of the banks of the newly filled Kuybyshev Reservoir.
