The division contains all of the south basin of Lake Manitoba, and borders the west shore of the north basin (which is part of Division No. 19).
The economics of the area is based on agriculture, livestock and commercial fish on Lake Manitoba.
From 1966 to 1986, she was the founding director of the Delta Marsh Field Station, a research and teaching facility of the Faculty of Science located on the south shore of Lake Manitoba.
In 1741–42 he wintered further west and north in the region of Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipegosis and the lower Saskatchewan River.

He bought an ownership share of the Portage Country Club, on the Delta Marsh near the south shore of Lake Manitoba, and later donated the land to Ducks Unlimited.
