1968–69 in Belgian football

For the first time, 4 Belgian clubs entered the 1968–69 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup: KSV Waregem beat Atlético Madrid of Spain on away goals (lost 1-2 away, won 1-0 at home), Standard Club Liégeois was defeated by Leeds United (drew 0-0 at home,lost 2-3 away), K Beerschot VAV by Door Wilskracht Sterk of the Netherlands (drew 1-1 at home, lost 1-2 away) and R Daring Club Molenbeek by Panathinaikos FC of Greece (won 2-1 at home, lost 0-2 away).

1974–75 in Belgian football

In the second round, they eliminated Olympiacos FC of Greece (won 5-1 at home, lost 0-3 away) but lost in the quarter-finals to Leeds United AFC (lost 0-3 away, 0-1 at home).


1928–29 Huddersfield Town F.C. season

The only good points of the season came from 3 of the 14 league wins, 6-1 victories over Yorkshire rivals Leeds United and Sheffield United and a 7-1 win over Pennine rivals Burnley.

1934–35 Stoke City F.C. season

Stoke started the 1934–35 season by losing 4–1 at Sheffield Wednesday but then quickly made amends by beating Leeds United 8–1 in their opening home match with Stanley Matthews scoring four goals which earned him his first England call up.

1973–74 Football League

Don Revie marked his last season as Leeds United's manager by guiding them to league championship glory, before taking over from Sir Alf Ramsey as the England national football team manager, with England having failed to qualify for the 1974 World Cup.

1991–92 Leeds United A.F.C. season

The 1991–92 season was Leeds United A.F.C.'s 73rd season in their history, their 37th in the top tier of English football and their 2nd consecutive and final season in the Football League First Division before its rebranding as the FA Premier League.

1992–93 Rangers F.C. season

Rangers became the first British club to the club appear in the UEFA Champions League after defeating Danish side Lyngby BK and Leeds United in a match dubbed the Battle of Britain.

Cleator Moor Celtic F.C.

Scott Carson played for the Celtic from Under 10s through to Under 16s and also made appearances with the Under 18s and the First Team before his recruitment to the Leeds United academy after being spotted playing for Workington in the FA Youth Cup.

Dave Mangnall

As a player, he scored 144 goals from 221 appearances in the Football League playing for Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Birmingham, West Ham United, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers.

Football League North and South

An example of this is that in the 1942 Football League North Leeds United played Middlesbrough, Gateshead, Newcastle United, Doncaster Rovers, Sunderland, Bradford Park Avenue, York City, Halifax Town and Huddersfield Town, which they played Home and Away in succession.

France Football European Team of the Year

Although Celtic F.C. lost the final in Italy (Milan, San Siro) to Feyenoord, the media coverage in the semi-final between Celtic F.C. and Leeds United (2nd leg at Hampden Park on 15 April 1970) was very intense, newspapers on both sides of the border reported it and said it to be "one of the most exciting battle of Britain yet".

Henry McStay

Henry began his club career with Leeds United without ever breaking through in to the first team, this was primarily due to the abundance of riches Leeds had in Henry's position at the time, players such as Lucas Radebe, Jonathan Woodgate and Rio Ferdinand already established centre backs for the Whites.

Jimmy Kébé

Jimmy Boubou Kébé (born 19 January 1984) is a footballer who plays for Leeds United on loan from Crystal Palace as a winger.

Paddy Kenny

In August 2012 Kenny's former club Q.P.R. wrote a formal letter of complaint to Leeds United over abusive texts allegedly sent by Kenny to their technical director Mike Rigg and chairman Tony Fernandes.

Paul Rachubka

On 23 June 2011, Rachubka put pen to paper and signed for Leeds United on a two-year contract as the backup goalkeeper, he linked up with Simon Grayson who was the manager that signed Rachubka for Blackpool.

Suzanne Charlton

She is the daughter of former Manchester United and England footballer, Sir Bobby Charlton and his wife Lady Norma (née Ball), and the niece of former Leeds United and England footballer Jack Charlton.
