Later she attended several photo workshops given by Lewis Baltz, John Gossage and Larry Fink and the German photographer André Gelpke.

Among his past students are several important contemporary artists, including Chris Burden, James Carl, Catherine MacLean, Barbara Fischer, Bill Burns, Lewis Baltz, Jessica Stockholder and Kim Adams.
The gallery opened with an Ansel Adams retrospective and later exhibited artists such as Harry Callahan, Joel Meyerowitz, Paul Strand, William Eggleston, Richard Misrach, Berenice Abbott, Imogen Cunningham, Judy Dater, Lewis baltz and Jerry Uelsmann.
Technically, half the photographers were working with 8″×10″ (20 cm × 25 cm) large format view cameras; those who were not were using either square medium format (Deal, Gohlke), or in the case of Lewis Baltz 35 mm Technical Pan, a slow and high-definition Kodak film that the photographer printed on 8″x10″ paper.
