1959 Coupe de France Final

The 1959 Coupe de France Final was a football match held at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir, Colombes on May 3, 1959 and May 18, 1959 that saw Le Havre AC of Division 2 defeat FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.

1993 UEFA Champions League Final

The club and their president Bernard Tapie would later be found to have been involved in a match-fixing scandal during the 1992–93 season (in which Marseille allegedly paid Valenciennes to lose a match), which saw them relegated to Division 2 and banned from participation in European football for the following season.

AC Arles-Avignon

After finishing the 2007–08 season mid-table, Arles surprised many by finishing third in the league, thus going up to Ligue 2.
