Georgia State Route 7 Connector (Lowndes County): A former connector route of Georgia State Route 7 that existed in rural parts of Lowndes County, northwest of Valdosta.
On August 9, a meeting convened in the academy building in Troupville at which it was decided to create from the area of Lowndes County to the west of the Withlacoochee River a new county to be called Brooks County.

Grooverville was once known as Key and was located at the crossing of the Thomasville and Madison and Sharpe's Store Road, which was in Thomas County prior to the creation of Brooks County, Georgia from Lowndes and Thomas County in 1858.
In 1831, after being chosen as the county seat of Lowndes County, the town was officially named Hayneville in honor of Robert Y. Hayne, governor of South Carolina and a U.S. senator.
