Excavations, by Machteld Mellink from Bryn Mawr College, of the burial mounds of Semahöyük and Müren have shown signs of copper production dating back to 2500 BC.
In 1900 the club moved to Muren near Øverland in Bærum, where a cabin Ondurstua and a small ski jumping hill was also established.
