DV Audio/Video data can be stored as raw DV data stream file (data is written to a file as the data is received over FireWire, file extensions are .dv and .dif) or the DV data can be packed into container files (ex: Microsoft AVI, Apple MOV).
They were replaced by three members of the R&B Group Riff from Patterson, New Jersey; Anthony "Chill" Fuller, his brother Dwayne "Stylz" Jones, and Michael "Nitty Green" Best, and the group released their second album MOV in 1999.
When the user is ready, they can export their animation to one of several formats: QuickTime movie (*.mov), Animated GIF (*.gif), or series of sequenced GIF, JPEG, or PNG images (one for each frame).
The album's packaging makes reference to a number of other science fiction names corrupted over two centuries — Phettt (Boba Fett), Hein Len (Robert A. Heinlein), Seaclarc (Arthur C. Clarke), A.C Mov (Isaac Asimov), and Kaydich (Philip K. Dick) — as well as to the Roddenberry and Lucas "Sacred StarTexts".
