Previously, there was a football nursery in the village of Lija that solely belonged to Lija Athletic Football Club, but a special agreement between the Iklin Local Council and the football club gave way to the foundation of a Lija-Iklin nursery.
Żurrieq F.C. Youth Nursery is the institution which forms part of Zurrieq F.C. and which works to train the young footballers from the age of 8 years up to 16 years and enable them to participate in the competitions organized by the Maltese Youth FA.

Żurrieq F.C. participates in all competitions organized by the MFA and the YFA including the National, Under 19 and the Youth FA leagues.
