From the institution of the Manchester Academy (22 February 1786) till 1789 Harrison was professor of classics and belles-lettres there.

After attending Sedbergh School, he spent two years at the Manchester Academy, and then studied at the university of Göttingen and university of Edinburgh.
On 30 September and 1 October, the band hosted the Inaugural UK shows of New York based band The Indecent at Manchester Academy and O2 Academy Islington, London, alongside Kirsty Almeida.
The B-side, a live version of "Anti-Pope", was taken from the DVD MGE25, recorded live at Manchester Academy on 4 December 2004 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their album Machine Gun Etiquette.
