The post-mortem on the body of Donohoe took place at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda by the State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy, of the State Pathologist's Office, who also visited the scene.
Ireland's State Pathologist, Doctor Marie Cassidy told the inquest that she was unable to pinpoint the precise time at which Rossiter sustained his death injury – she said people were "getting caught up in trying to be specific, to date things that were impossible to date."
There is one full time State Pathologist: Professor Marie Cassidy and two Deputy State Pathologists: Dr. Michael Curtis and Dr. Khalid Jabbar.
