Miller and Rega's student documentary, Miami Noir, was screened at the 2008 Miami International Film Festival.
The film also picked up the Fipresci Prize for Best Film at the 2005 Miami International Film Festival, and a special commendation Signis Award at the 2004 San Sebastian International Film Festival.

It received its official U.S. premiere at the "Palm Springs International Film Festival" on 6 January 2007, and its east coast premiere at the Miami International Film Festival in March 2007.
