Brown County High School, or BCHS, is a public four-year high school located at 500 East Main Street in Mount Sterling, Illinois, a small city in Brown County, Illinois, in the Midwestern United States.
Mount Sterling was first settled in the late 1830s when George and Horace Wood established a sawmill and corn-cracker to serve the small farms of southern Van Buren County and the northern portion of nearby Scotland County, Missouri.
A part of the Louisiana Purchase, Mount Sterling was first settled by American pioneers in the 1820s.

It is, however, one of only three remaining lookout towers in the park (not including the fire tower of Mount Cammerer), the other two being at Mount Sterling and Shuckstack.
WWRW, a radio station (105.5 FM) licensed to serve Mount Sterling, Kentucky, United States, which held the call sign WMKJ from 2000 to 2010
