Sir Neil Cossons OBE FSA FMA FRGS (born 15 January 1939) is Pro-Provost and Chairman of Council of the Royal College of Art, of which he has been a Governor since 1989.

The Museums Association's journal Museum Practice reported in 2007 that “the contrast between galleries just before and just after Potter’s arrival (at the Natural History Museum) is like switching over from a television programme made for schools to a big-screen epic, choreographed by Busby Berkeley.”
He is a Warden of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Museums Association, Council Member of The Air League and holds both Commercial and Instrument ratings for single engined aircraft.
