He is also Principal Bassoon of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony, and holds teaching positions at Festival Hill at Roundtop, Texas, and the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California.
His festival appearances include the Ravinia Festival, the Santa Fe and Montreal Chamber Music Festivals, Bard Music Festival, Scotia Festival of Music and Music Academy of the West.
In college, Seymour participated in some of America's finest music festivals, including Music Academy of the West, Chautauqua Institution and the New York String Orchestra Seminar at Mannes College.
He has also studied at the Music Academy of the West, Chautauqua Musical Institute, and the Oberlin/Urbania Vocal Institute in Urbania, Italy.

After her retirement from the recital stage in 1951, Lehmann taught master classes at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, which she helped found in 1947.
