Friday Night is Music Night is a long-running live BBC radio concert programme featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra, broadcast most Fridays on BBC Radio 2 at 8.00pm.
Between 1973 and 1987 Sutherland was regularly invited by BBC Radio 2 in central London as guest conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra for the "Friday Night Is Music Night" programme.
The set includes two cover versions of previously recorded music; "Night of the Slunk", originally featured on Buckethead's album Monsters and Robots (1999), and the song "Machine Gun", from the Jimi Hendrix album Band of Gypsys (1970).
