Prince Charles Philip of Sweden, Duke of Södermanland, (Swedish: Carl Filip; Alt-Anzen (Vana-Antsla), 22 April 1601 – Narva, 25 January 1622) was a Swedish prince, Duke of Södermanland, Närke and Värmland.
Af Upplendinga konungum tells that Gautrekr was married to Alof, the daughter of Olaf the Clear-Sighted, the king of Närke.
Since Närke only corresponded the southern part of the remaining territory and the name was changed to reflect the city where the Governor resided, namely Örebro.
Between 1624 and 1627, the regiment was split into three smaller regiments, Södermanlands regemente, Närkes regemente and Värmlands regemente (these two were soon after merged into the Närke-Värmlands regemente) and the cavalry unit Svenska adelsfanan.
