The champion is invited to the NASCAR Nights of Champions Gala at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina along with the rest of the regional series champions, with the 2012 champion Ander Vilariño being the first to attend.

In 2013 Almirola returned to Richard Petty Motorsports' No. 43 in the Sprint Cup Series; at Martinsville Speedway in October, the team ran the No. 41 to honor Maurice Petty's induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

In April 2011, Pistone appeared on an episode of The History Channel's American Pickers in which he sold items to be placed in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
