Vimalakka was born in Aler village in Nalgonda district to Narsamma and Bandru Narsimayya, a Telangana revolutionary who participated in Telangana rebellion.

Janaiah was born in agriculturist family on 2 May 1964 to Aldas Janamma and Aldas Saidulu Goud in Mamidala village of Thipparthy Mandal in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh in India.
