Kilmartin Glen

In 2007, Kilmartin Glen was the setting for Half Life, a piece of landscape art and performance created by the Scottish theatre company NVA in collaboration with the National Theatre of Scotland.

Red Note Ensemble

The ensemble is renowned for their site-specific work and collaborations with other companies including 1000 Airplanes on the Roof with the National Theatre of Scotland, Pass the Spoon with Magnetic North Theatre Company and Tantallon! These Lands, This Wall with the Lammermuir Festival in East Lothian.


Catherine Wheels Theatre Company

Other productions include Caged, Pobby and Dingan (TMA 2010 award winner for Best Show for Children and Young People), The Book of Beasts, Something Wicked This Way Comes (with National Theatre of Scotland), The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk, Hansel and Gretel, Kes, The Lion of Kabul, The Book of Beasts, Cyrano, Snow Baby, and The Story of the Little Gentleman.

Stuart McQuarrie

In 2006 McQuarrie returned to Edinburgh where he played himself in the critically acclaimed National Theatre of Scotland production of Realism by Anthony Neilson, for which he won the Glasgow Herald Angel award and was nominated for Best Male Actor by CATS (Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland).

Tony Kearney

In 2011, Kearney acted in Somersaults, a play written by Iain Finlay Macleod for the National Theatre of Scotland.
