After her death, Bowring Ranch was donated to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, becoming Bowring Ranch State Historical Park.
The park features well preserved skeletons of prehistoric animals, and is a joint project of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the University of Nebraska State Museum.
The City of Lincoln, Lancaster County, Lower Platte South Natural Resource District (LPSNRD), The Nature Conservancy, and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) are the full-share partners, which established the Saline Wetlands Conservation Partnership in 2003.
