His first international game with the Jordan national team was between Jordan and Nepal in a 2014 WC qualifying game in Kathmandu on July 28, 2011 when he entered as a substitute for his teammate Suleiman Al-Salman.
His first goal came in a friendly against Nepal at Pokhara on March 27, 2008 which Pakistan won 2-0 after a long run from his own half before a powerful shot that beat the Nepalese keeper.
He was the first Nepali player to play professional football in India, and played for the Nepal national team in the 1982 Asian Games.
