Jim Forsythe (born October 1, 1968) is a former Republican member of the New Hampshire Senate, having represented the 4th District from 2010 to 2012.
Martha Fuller Clark (born March 14, 1942, in York, Maine) is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 21st District since 2012, and having represented the 24th District from 2004 through 2010.
As president of the New Hampshire Senate, she served as acting governor of the state from December 29, 1982 until January 6, 1983 as a result of the death of Governor Hugh Gallen shortly before the inauguration of the governor-elect, John H. Sununu.
Rather than run for reelection to the New Hampshire Senate in 1998, he ran for Governor of New Hampshire in the 1998 election, but lost.
Her daughter Martha Fuller Clark currently serves in the New Hampshire Senate after several terms in the New Hampshire House.
