The Institute is named after New Jersey Assemblyman John S. Watson, the first African American to serve as the state's Chairman of the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
Garabed "Chuck" Haytaian, American politician of Armenian origin, who was the Speaker of the New Jersey State Assembly
Rudder started his career working for Congressman Jim Saxton on military and veterans' issues in Washington, D.C. He later worked in the administration of Governor Christie Todd Whitman, as well as for New Jersey State Assembly Speaker Jack Collins in the Assembly Republican office.
