Just north of Hillside Avenue, they meet the four tracks of the IND Queens Boulevard Line at a flying junction, with connections to both the local and express tracks.
A short distance later, the two roadways enter an unnumbered cloverleaf interchange with NY 25 (Jericho Turnpike).
Entering the East Birchwood section, they enter another cloverleaf interchange, this time with NY 25 (the Jericho Turnpike).
Here, NY 111 intersects with East Main Street, which enters the junction from the west as NY 25 and NY 25A.
In Coram, NY 112 bends to the northwest at an intersection with Grand Smith Road, immediately intersecting with NY 25 (Middle Country Road).
Once across to Greenport, NY 114 ends quickly at NY 25, again just a block or so from the heart of the village.

Due to a freeway revolt, the Clearview Expressway was only completed as far south as Hillside Avenue (NY 25); the expressway was to continue south from Hillside Avenue to NY 27 (Conduit Avenue) in Laurelton and west across Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan to the Holland Tunnel.
