They have performed at festivals including Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts Festival, Austin’s SXSW music conference, the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah, Oregon Country Fair in Eugene Oregon, Salem Oregon’s “World Music Festival” and Darrington, Washington’s Summer Meltdown.
On June 24, 2009, Paper Bird's first EP titled "A Sky Underground" was released, followed by a summer tour which included stops at High Sierra Music Festival, Oregon Country Fair, Mile High Music Festival and 10,000 Lakes Festival.
Since then, they’ve worked together as makers, performers and directors for In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Islewilde Festival, Oregon Country Fair, Vancouver’s Public Dreams Society and Taiwan’s Dream Community.

When Springfield Creamery owner Chuck Kesey, brother of author Ken Kesey, brought the Grateful Dead to the Oregon Renaissance Faire to play a benefit concert for the creamery in 1972, the Eugene Mall seemed like a good waiting room for the next concert.
