Haggerty Hill

It was named in 1992 by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Patrick R. Haggerty of Holmes and Narver, Inc., who managed logistics and construction activities at McMurdo Station, South Pole Station, Siple Station and various field camps during the 1970s and 1990s.

Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art

The construction of the museum was made possible by a donation from alumnus and co-founder of Texas Instruments, Inc., Patrick E. Haggerty, and his wife, Beatrice, for whom the museum is named.

Haggerty and his wife left part of their estate to found a museum of art at his alma mater which lead to the founding of the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art.
