Through her marriage to Albert I of Hohenlohe strengthened, Elisabeth strengthened the family relations between the House of Hohenlohe and the Counts of Ziegenhain, which had begun when her maternal aunt Agnes of Ziegenhain (d. 1399) had married Count Kraft IV of Hohenlohe-Weikersheim.
In the 1980s, Bose became a member of the jury of the "Summer Music Festival Hitzacker" as well as a lecturer at the "Young Composers' Meeting" in Weikersheim.
She was a daughter of Otto of Solms-Sonnewalde (25 June 1550 in Sonnewalde – 29 January 1612 in Sonnewalde) and Anna Amalia of Nassau-Weilburg (12 October 1560 in Weilburg – 6 January 1635 in Estrasburgo).
