Arthur Tracy's 1937 recording of "Pennies from Heaven" was featured in the 1981 movie of that name, with Vernel Bagneris lip-synching to Tracy's voice.
Other acting credits include Pennies From Heaven as Irene, the friend of Joan (Gemma Craven), Lovejoy, Never the Twain, Park Ranger and Parting Shots and more recently London's Burning and the John Sullivan comedy Roger Roger.
It is also used in Pennies from Heaven, where Astaire's voice is lip-synched by Steve Martin, and in a celebrated Morecambe and Wise sketch involving newsreader Angela Rippon.
These included Pennies from Heaven (the 1936 film starring Bing Crosby and Madge Evans) and Lost Horizon (the 1937 film starring Ronald Colman, Jane Wyatt and Sam Jaffe).
