Ando for the Clausura championship Sporting San Miguelito were renamed Sporting Coclé after they re-located to Antón Coclé.
Coclé is also home to APROVACA orchid conservation center, which conducts orchid conservation activities, including orchid reintroduction into the wild and a sponsorship program for the Panamanian national flower Peristeria elata.
Juan Demóstenes Arosemena Barreati (24 June 1879 in Panama City – 16 December 1939 in Penonomé, Coclé Province) was President of Panama from October 1, 1936 to December 16, 1939.
The town is located in the hills 13 km northwest of Penonomé.
