The 2014 season is Sporting Cristal's 59th season in the Peruvian First Division, and also the club's 59th consecutive season in the top-flight of Peruvian football.
He later played for Universitario de Deportes where he became four times Peruvian champion in 1966, 1967, 1969 and 1971, Defensor Lima with whom he won the league one more time in 1973, Sport Boys and Sporting Cristal.
However, Sport Coopsol decided to sell their spot in the Peruvian First Division to Universidad de San Martín de Porres who decided to form their own club, Universidad San Martín de Porres.
Based in the Rímac District, in the department of Lima, it plays in the professional league known as the Peruvian First Division.
