At TGS, Frank Rossitano (Judah Friedlander) discovers that Pete Hornberger (Scott Adsit) used to be in Loverboy, so the pair form a band and write a song entitled "It's Never Too Late for Now", but arguments soon erupt between them, particularly when Frank's girlfriend Yuki (an obvious Yoko Ono parallel) becomes involved.
Later, during a sketch rehearsal—involving impersonations of Condoleezza Rice, Laura Bush, and John Kerry—the various mishaps of Tracy, Jenna, and Josh prompt Liz and Pete Hornberger (Scott Adsit) that it would be impossible for the three to perform on the show.
In the 30 Rock episode The C Word, show producer Liz Lemon tries to tell producer Pete Hornberger and writer Frank Rossitano that someone insulted her with a word that "rhymes with your favorite Todd Rundgren album," expecting them to say Runt.
