2001 African Amateur Boxing Championships

The 11th edition of the African Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Port Louis, Mauritius from 14 May to 20 May 2001.

Cape Bougainville

The name, (like Port Louis) comes from the French navigator Louis de Bougainville who established the first settlement in the archipelago in the 1760s.
