Alice Sommerlath, née Alice Soares de Toledo (15 May 1906 – 9 March 1997) was the mother of Queen Silvia, consort of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
She did impressions for many well known celebrities including Carola Häggkvist, Lena Philipsson, Pernilla Wahlgren, Queen Silvia and Tina Nordström.
The company wanted to name the ship Drottning Silvia in honour of Queen Silvia of Sweden, but the Royal Household of Sweden declined.
The museum was formally opened on April 14, 1988 by Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Governor of New Jersey Thomas Kean and his wife Deborah.
In 2004 she received the The World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child from Queen Silvia of Sweden.
Baroness Hélène Ingeborg Sibylla Silfverschiöld (b. Göteborg, 20 September 1968), who was a bridesmaid at the wedding of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden in 1976, and in the same year also for Prince Bertil and Princess Lilian of Sweden, Helene's godmother.
