Swami Atmajnanananda (also written Svāmī Ātmajñānānanda, born Stuart Elkman) is a swami (monk) of the Ramakrishna Order, which he joined in 1981.
At much the same time, HaKohain studied and was initiated into Vedanta in 1976 by another mentor figure, Swami Swahananda, head of the Ramakrishna Order of India in Southern California (where he has since then been a frequent guest speaker on the relations between Neo-Sabbatian Kabbalah and Hinduism).

Born as the son of Trailokyanath Bose and Nishadkalidevi, Virajananda was the first person to join the Ramakrishna Order after the direct disciples of Ramakrishna.
Swami Gahanananda (October, 1916 – November 4, 2007), the 14th President of the Ramakrishna Order, was born in the village of Paharpur in Sylhet District (now in Bangladesh) in October 1916.
