Anders Hallberg (born 29 April 1945 in Vetlanda) is a Swedish chemist who was rector magnificus of Uppsala University from July 2006 until December 2011.

He was appointed professor of Medicinal chemistry at Uppsala University in 1990, became Head of the Department of Organic Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1991 and served as Dean for Research and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy until he was appointed Rector magnificus and president of Uppsala University in 2006.
In 1968 he served as the first Filipino Rector Magnificus of the University Of Santo Tomas Central Seminary, and in 1970, he was appointed as the first Filipino Rector Magnificus of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas.

The Maces of the Rector Magnificus of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) are 17th Century silver maces which are considered to be the oldest symbols of the office Rector Magnificus of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, the oldest extant European chartered University in Asia.
The Archbishop Leonard Legaspi O.P., who was also the first Filipino Rector Magnificus of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, and the first Vicar of the Dominican Province of the Philippines.
This dignity he retained for about ten years, and, after his withdrawal from Lille (c. 1606), he was made "rector magnificus" of Reims University.
